We are able to advise upon all aspects of divorce and the issues arising out of a marriage breakdown. We can also advise on alternatives to a divorce including nullity and judicial separation proceedings.
A divorce is usually a straightforward procedure. What is often more complicated is agreeing a division of the assets. We can advise on all financial aspects including maintenance orders, lump sum payments, transfer of properties and orders in relation to pensions. Our primary aim would be to achieve a financial settlement without intervention of the Court. This involves each party providing voluntary financial disclosure. If either party is unwilling to provide disclosure or in the event that no agreement can be reached, an application can be made to the Court ancillary to the divorce for a financial relief order.
